Resume
The cytokine status of patients with SARS CoV-2 pneumonia and type 2 diabetes was studied. In the study, 103 patients hospitalized with SARS CoV-2 pneumonia at the Bukhara Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital, which was converted into a Covid-center, were involved. Immunological examination of elderly patients was carried out in the immunomorphology laboratory of the Institute of Human Immunology and Genomics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Indicators of cytokine (IL-4, IL-18) status in the blood were studied. The results showed an increase in the synthesis of IL-4, IL-18 in patients of control groups. A significant increase in IL-4 synthesis was found in patients with type 2 diabetes, which was independent of the severity of coronavirus pneumonia and the presence of diabetes. In the study, we found an increase in the amount of IL-18 in the blood of patients, regardless of the severity of covid pneumonia and the presence of diabetes.
Key words: SARS CoV-2, diabetes type 2, immunized, cytokine, pneumonia., procalcitonin
