RELATIONSHIP OF DIABETIC POLYNEUROPATHIES WITH DEPRESSIVE DISORDERS AND THEIR CLINICAL-DYNAMIC FEATURES

Resume

This article discusses the relationship between diabetic polyneuropathy (DPN) and depressive disorders, pathogenetic mechanisms, clinical manifestations and features of dynamic development. DPN, one of the most common neurological manifestations of diabetic complications, often chronologically accompanies the development of depression. The article analyzes clinical evidence that DPN exacerbates depressive states through pain syndrome, vegetative changes, sleep disorders, and changes in the psychoemotional background. The influence of depression on the exacerbation of DPN symptoms, diagnostic approaches, and therapeutic tactics are also described in detail.
