Elmuradova A.A. Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sino. Uzbekistan

Resume

Aim: This clinical study aimed to evaluate the specific features of different course of COVID-19 in children and the effect of allergic status on the manifestation of the disease in this case. The study examined 65 children who were hospitalized with a diagnosis of coronavirus infection at the Bukhara Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital from November 2021 to February 2022. The majority of the 65 patients studied were boys (58% were boys (n = 38) and 42% were girls (n = 27)). Most of the sick children contracted the disease from family members. Fever (43.4%) and dry cough (44.5%) were observed as common symptoms, with gastrointestinal dysfunction such as diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, and vomiting accounting for 11%. There were almost no differences in the incidence of COVID-19, its clinical course, laboratory and immunological data among children with a history of allergy and non-allergic status.

Key words: COVID-19, children, clinical signs, allergic status
