FEATURES OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF CARDIOVASCULAR COMPLICATIONS IN PATIENTS WITH TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS

Resume
Type 2 diabetes mellitus is one of the most pressing problems of modern medicine due to its high prevalence and significant contribution to cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the pathogenetic mechanisms, clinical characteristics, and risk factors associated with the development of cardiovascular complications in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Based on the analysis of national and international scientific sources, it has been established that chronic hyperglycemia, insulin resistance, arterial hypertension, and dyslipidemia play a key role in the formation of atherosclerotic vascular lesions. The importance of early diagnosis, comprehensive treatment, and preventive measures in reducing the incidence of cardiovascular complications and improving prognosis in this group of patients is emphasized.
