PERINEAL TEARS DURING CHILDBIRTH AND THEIR LONG-TERM CONSEQUENCES

Bazarova Z.Z. - Samarkand State Medical University

Resume

This article examines perineal trauma during childbirth and its long-term consequences. Based on a clinical study involving 80 women, the severity of perineal injuries, associated urogenital disorders, sexual dysfunction, and psychological conditions were assessed. Quality of life, sexual function, and emotional well-being were evaluated using WHOQOL-BREF, FSFI, and HADS scales. The findings indicate that more severe perineal trauma is significantly associated with urinary and fecal incontinence, depression, anxiety, and decreased quality of life. The article provides recommendations for prevention, revision of episiotomy practices, and implementation of comprehensive rehabilitation strategies.

Keywords: perineal trauma, childbirth, quality of life, sexual dysfunction, depression, WHOQOL-BREF, FSFI, HADS, incontinence
