Resume
Preeclampsia is one of the most severe complications of pregnancy and is associated with systemic damage to target organs, including the liver. The aim of the study was to evaluate clinical, laboratory, and instrumental indicators reflecting liver function changes in pregnant women with preeclampsia. A retrospective analysis of 20 medical records of women diagnosed with preeclampsia was performed. Clinical symptoms, medical history, blood pressure levels, general and biochemical blood tests, urinalysis, and ultrasound findings were assessed. Signs of liver dysfunction of varying severity were identified in 40% of patients. The results confirm a relationship between preeclampsia and liver impairment and emphasize the importance of comprehensive monitoring of this group of patients.
