Resume

This scientific article presents a personalized therapeutic-diagnostic algorithm developed by the authors for patients with infected pancreatic necrosis (IPN) and diabetes mellitus (DM). According to the algorithm, the treatment strategy for patients with low, high, and critical risk of IPN in the context of DM is analyzed, depending on the intensity of pancreatic necrobiosis according to the PN scale. Overall, the results of clinical investigations demonstrated that the therapeutic-diagnostic algorithm allows for determining the choice of surgical treatment—from a wait-and-see approach to minimally invasive interventions and active surgery. The therapeutic-diagnostic algorithm provides a basis for its clinical implementation in patients with IPN and concomitant DM.
