PRIMARY-LEVEL CARE FOR UNCOMPLICATED PREGNANCY: A WOMAN-CENTERED CONSULTATION AND COUNSELLING ALGORITHM
Kamalov A.I. - Samarkand State Medical University
Resume
Woman-centered midwife-led care for uncomplicated pregnancy at the primary level can improve perinatal outcomes, reduce unnecessary interventions, and better address women’s individual needs and preferences. This paper presents a concise consultation algorithm covering: assessment of wellbeing and symptoms at each visit, risk-factor screening, planning of mandatory tests, identification of mental-health concerns and potential domestic violence, and counselling for birth preparedness and the postnatal period. The algorithm is grounded in safe communication, systematic monitoring, proper documentation, and timely referral when abnormalities are detected.
