Resume

This experimental study evaluated physiological responses to acute stress in rats using a forced swim model. Thirty rats were divided into control and stress groups. Adrenaline levels and body weight were assessed on day four of exposure. Stressed animals showed a significant increase in plasma adrenaline and a decrease in body weight compared to controls, indicating activation of the sympatho-adrenal system and metabolic shifts. The model proved effective for studying acute stress-related neuroendocrine and metabolic responses.

Keywords: General Adaptation Syndrome, acute stress, experimental study, body weight, adrenaline.
