Resume
Severe anemia is one of the most common extragenital conditions in pregnant women and is associated with a high risk of obstetric and perinatal complications. This article presents the results of a clinical and laboratory study of pregnancy course in women with severe anemia. The study included 120 pregnant women at 20–38 weeks of gestation, divided into a main group (n=60) with hemoglobin levels below 70 g/L and a control group (n=60) with physiological pregnancy. Clinical, laboratory, and instrumental methods, including ultrasound examination and Doppler velocimetry, were used. The results demonstrated a significantly higher incidence of fetoplacental insufficiency, chronic fetal hypoxia, preeclampsia, and threatened preterm labor in women with severe anemia. Early diagnosis and comprehensive management of severe anemia during pregnancy are essential to improve perinatal outcomes.
Keywords: severe anemia, pregnancy, fetoplacental insufficiency, fetal hypoxia, obstetric complications.
