THE ROLE OF GAMMA-GLUTAMYLTRANSPEPTIDASE IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF CHOLESTATIC SYNDROME IN CHILDREN

Resume

In today's world, the search for and study of new biological markers that facilitate the early diagnosis of cholestatic syndrome in children remains relevant. These markers can serve as a laboratory tool for assessing the effectiveness of therapy, a prognostic marker of possible adverse clinical outcomes, and a significant criterion for risk stratification. This review presents the results of scientific research on gamma-glutamyltranspeptidase in cholestasis in children. A threshold concentration of GGT >148.7 U/L has been established, indicating a high risk of developing CH in children.

Keywords: gamma-glutamyltranspeptidase, cholestasis, children.
