Resume

This study scientifically substantiates the key risk factors for the development of osteoporosis in 180 middle-aged and elderly patients of the main group with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, as well as the distribution of genotypes and alleles of molecular genetic markers reflecting the liver–bone axis. In elderly patients, the AA genotype was identified in 25% of cases, which was significantly higher compared to the control group (5%). The obtained results indicate that this genotype represents an important age-associated risk factor that increases susceptibility to disease progression and related complications, particularly osteoporosis.
