Resume

In vitro fertilization (IVF) is an effective method for infertility treatment; however, pregnancies achieved through IVF are considered high-risk compared to spontaneous pregnancies. This article presents the results of a retrospective cohort study conducted in 2024 at the Republican Perinatal Center. Medical records of 98 women with IVF pregnancies and 50 women with spontaneous pregnancies were analyzed. Maternal age, comorbidities, metabolic disorders, pregnancy and delivery complications were evaluated comparatively. The results demonstrated significantly higher rates of gestational diabetes mellitus, preeclampsia, gestational hypertension, and obesity in IVF pregnancies.

Key words: in vitro fertilization, pregnancy, metabolic disorders, preeclampsia, delivery.
