HYGIENIC ASSESSMENT OF DEMOGRAPHIC GROWTH IMPACT ON HEALTHCARE SYSTEM

Resume

The article provides an in-depth analysis of rapid population growth, demographic shifts and their multifaceted impact on the healthcare system. A hygienic assessment of direct and indirect effects of increased population density, intensified urbanization, natural resource scarcity and insufficient medical services on population health indicators was conducted. Mechanisms of accelerated spread of infectious diseases, sharp increase in non-communicable disease frequency, and intensification of maternal and child health problems resulting from population growth were revealed. Food and water scarcity, deterioration of sanitary conditions, and growth of environmental problems were investigated. Increasing pressure on healthcare infrastructure - shortage of doctors, nurses, medical facilities, modern equipment and medicines - was demonstrated. Comprehensive prevention strategies were developed: family planning programs, full provision of contraceptives, strengthening primary healthcare, healthcare infrastructure development, improvement of sanitary-hygienic conditions, environmental monitoring and international cooperation programs.
