Resume
This article is devoted to predicting the outcomes of some infectious diseases (acute viral hepatitis B and brucellosis). For this Background: Predicting the outcomes of some infectious diseases is a major issue for practicing infectious disease doctors. The ability to anticipate further development of the disease will prevent serious complications. Aims: to determine the dependence of the nature of the course and predicting the outcomes of some infectious diseases (acute viral hepatitis B and brucellosis) on the acetylation phenotype. Materials and methods: Oon the basis of the clinic of the Research Institute of Epidemiology, Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (NIIEMIZ) of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2001-2018, a comparatively prospective study was carried out in 178 patients with a diagnosis of brucellosis aged 19 to 79 years and 25 children with a diagnosis of acute viral hepatitis B ages 5 to 15. Patient groups were selected by random sampling as they were admitted to the hospital. The acetylation phenotype (FA) was determined in urine by the method of Brodi and Axelrod (1949) modified by T.A. Popov. and Leonenko O.B (1977). Amidopyrine (AP) was used as a test drug. Results: Based on the data, it was found that people with AD are predisposed to brucellosis, however, there is a weak connection between the type of FA and susceptibility to the disease. In patients with brucellosis, it was more often in the primary chronic and secondary chronic forms. For acute forms of brucellosis, a fast type of FA is characteristic, for chronic forms of brucellosis, a slow type of acetylation. Brucellosis proceeded with hepatosplenomegilia, fever, with clinical signs of damage to the nervous system and joints, sweating, but the frequency of lymphadenopathy was less.The frequency of occurrence of the main clinical symptoms did not depend on the type of FA. Similar results were observed in children with slow acetylation, in whom AVHB was more severe and prolonged than in patients with rapid acetylation with a high frequency of chronicity of the process. Conclusions: A relationship has been established between the rate of acetylation and various forms and severity of the disease. Slow acetylators are characterized by a severe prolonged course of the disease, with a high frequency of the formation of a protracted and chronic infectious process in the outcome of AVHB and brucellosis compared with BA, in which acute forms with mild and moderate disease prevailed.
