Intrauterine fetal hypoxia remains one of the most significant medical and social problems of modern obstetrics, as it occupies a leading position in the structure of causes of perinatal morbidity, disability, and neonatal mortality. According to various studies, signs of hypoxic injury are detected in 10–30% of newborns, and fetal hypoxia and intrapartum asphyxia make a significant contribution to perinatal mortality and early neonatal morbidity. This pathology acquires particular social significance due to its long-term consequences, including delayed psychomotor development, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and cognitive disorders, which lead to a decrease in the quality of life of patients and the formation of persistent disability from early childhood. These conditions result in significant economic costs for the healthcare system associated with the need for long-term medical follow-up, rehabilitation, and social support
