Resume
The prevalence of dental diseases in the examined patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, in particular periodontal diseases, is 75-84% of other dental diseases. In patients with diabetes mellitus, it is precisely those changes in periodontal tissues that occur in the organs of the oral cavity, which lead to a decrease in the effectiveness of chewing. Early diagnosis of periodontal diseases and the development of effective treatment methods in patients belonging to this group are considered important.
