Resume

Endemic goiter, caused by chronic iodine deficiency, remains a significant problem in women's reproductive health. Thyroid dysfunction in endemic goiter has a multifaceted impact on the menstrual cycle, ovulation, endometrial quality, fertility, and pregnancy outcomes. Even subclinical hypothyroidism can lead to anovulatory cycles, reduced fertility, and an increased risk of early miscarriage. Pathogenetic mechanisms include hormonal imbalance, oxidative stress, immune dysfunction, and metabolic changes. Endemic goiter is associated with an increased incidence of gynecological diseases, including uterine fibroids, mastopathy, and chronic adnexitis. Effective prevention and treatment are based on correcting iodine deficiency, thyroid hormone replacement therapy, comprehensive monitoring of reproductive function, and early detection of gynecological complications. Modern research is opening up the possibility of using molecular and immunological biomarkers to predict reproductive outcomes and personalize therapy. Thus, endemic goiter is a multifactorial pathology that requires a comprehensive, systemic approach to preserving women's reproductive health and improving pregnancy outcomes.

Key words: endemic goiter, iodine deficiency, reproductive health, infertility, hypothyroidism, menstrual disorders, pregnancy, gynecological diseases.
