Resume
Prognostic scales used for assessing the severity of multiple injuries and functional impairments are based on various criteria, each having its advantages and limitations. Anatomically based scales (ISS, NISS, APS), scales evaluating functional status (GCS, RTS, APACHE II), as well as combined clinico-anatomical indices (TRISS) are utilized to assess injury severity and mortality risk. The ASA classification and other independent criteria are also analyzed, comparing their capabilities, limitations, effectiveness, and prognostic significance in assessing anesthetic risk.
Keywords: polytrauma, multiple injuries, trauma mortality prediction, lethal outcome in polytrauma, injury severity scoring systems and scales, anesthetic risk, ISS, NISS, TRISS, APACHE II, GCS, RTS, ASA classification.
