THE ROLE OF MOLECULAR GENETICS IN DIAGNOSIS IN MOLECULAR AUTOPSY

B.S. Turonov - Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Forensic Medical Examination Ministry of Health Uzbekistan

Resume

Molecular autopsy is an innovative method of forensic medical and clinical research based on the application of modern molecular genetics methods to identify causes of death in the absence of obvious pathological changes detected by traditional pathological examination methods. Over the last decades, forensic medicine has faced a growing problem of sudden unexplained death (SUE), especially among young individuals. According to global research, in 5-15% of cases of sudden death, a standard autopsy examination fails to establish a reliable cause of death. Such cases are designated as "death of unknown etiology" and require additional diagnostic methods.
