THE ROLE OF COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF DESTRUCTIVE FORMS OF ACUTE PANCREATITIS

Resume

The analysis of data from 209 tomograms of patients with pancreatic necrosis in the dynamics of treatment was carried out. On the basis of the studies carried out, it was proved that the sequestration process begins from 30-40 days from the moment of the disease. On tomograms, the sequestration areas are visualized as structureless alternating zones with low and high density like “black dots”, which are not enhanced by intravenous contrasting. The studies carried out made it possible to specify the timing of possible surgical interventions and to prevent the performance of unreasonable operations in the early phase of the disease, when conservative treatment is indicated.
