The differences in the prevalence of dental diseases among pregnant women are due to differences in the regions of residence, socio-cultural characteristics, medical activity of the women themselves, and methodological aspects of the examination of patients. The study of current epidemiological trends in the prevalence of dental diseases among pregnant women in various territorial regions is extremely important, as it helps to scientifically plan the intensity and focus of dental care for women during such a crucial period of life as pregnancy.
