Resume

This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic and prognostic value of multislice computed tomography angiography (CTA) in acute ischemic stroke (AIS). A total of 120 patients aged 18–85 years were included. Patients were examined within the therapeutic time window (0–6 hours) using CTA to assess major vessel status, stenosis or occlusion degree, and collateral circulation. Results were compared between patients receiving thrombolytic therapy and those receiving standard conservative treatment. The study demonstrated that CTA provides rapid and accurate diagnosis, allows identification of major vessel occlusion and collateral flow, and plays a crucial role in guiding therapeutic decisions and predicting functional outcomes. Patients treated with thrombolysis showed significantly better functional recovery. The findings support the integration of CTA into standard protocols in stroke centers to improve short- and long-term patient outcomes.
