Under conditions of experimental chemotherapy-induced renal failure, the splenic tissue of 3-month-old white hybrid rats demonstrated significant morphological alterations. The spleen capsule and trabeculae were thickened, vascular wall permeability increased, and fibrinoid changes with features of hyalinosis were observed. In the PALS region, T-lymphoblast proliferation was noted, while the number of mature T and B lymphocytes decreased and macrophage activity was reduced. The red pulp was narrowed, with erythrocyte hemolysis and atrophy of splenic cords observed. These findings reflect the morphological and immunological status of the spleen in experimental chemotherapy-induced renal failure.
