Resume

This article discusses the role of oxidative stress in the pathogenesis of neurological and internal diseases. The main biochemical mechanisms of reactive oxygen species formation, impairment of the body’s antioxidant defense system, and their effects on cellular structures are highlighted. Particular attention is paid to the clinical significance of oxidative stress in cardiovascular, endocrine, neurodegenerative, and inflammatory diseases. Modern approaches to the diagnosis and prevention of pathologies associated with increased free radical processes are presented. The article also analyzes scientific data on the relationship between oxidative stress and chronic human diseases.

Keywords: oxidative stress, reactive oxygen species, antioxidants, neurological diseases, internal diseases, free radicals, neurodegeneration, biochemistry, pathogenesis, cellular damage.
