Resume
Metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is one of the most common chronic liver diseases and is closely associated with the development of cardiometabolic disorders. Patients with MAFLD have a significantly increased risk of cardiovascular diseases, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, and dyslipidemia. Modern approaches to risk assessment are based on a comprehensive evaluation of clinical, biochemical, and instrumental indicators, including the assessment of visceral obesity, inflammatory markers, liver fibrosis, and cardiovascular risk factors. Non-invasive diagnostic methods such as elastography, fibrosis indices, and contemporary cardiometabolic risk scoring systems play an important role in early detection and monitoring. Early diagnosis of MAFLD and timely correction of risk factors can reduce the progression of the disease and prevent cardiovascular complications. A comprehensive multidisciplinary approach remains essential in the management of patients with MAFLD.
