RISK FACTORS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF HEMOLYTIC DISEASE IN NEWBORNS BORN TO NON-IMMUNIZED RH-NEGATIVE WOMEN

Resume

In order to study the characteristics of pregnancy and labor, as well as perinatal outcomes in patients with Rh-conflict pregnancy and the development of hemolytic disease of the newborn, a retrospective analysis of medical records was conducted. The study included 20 delivery histories of Rh-negative (Rh–) women and 20 medical records of newborns with hemolytic disease, delivered between 2024 and 2025 at a city perinatal center. The study involved mothers and their newborns who did not receive specific anti-D immunoprophylaxis either during the antenatal period or in the early postpartum period. The analysis revealed that the development of hemolytic disease of the newborn in infants born to non-immunized Rh-negative women is multifactorial and is closely associated with a complicated obstetric history, the absence of specific prophylaxis, and an insufficient level of medical awareness among patients
