Resume
This article presents the results of a study evaluating the effectiveness of age-based, step-by-step rehabilitation programs in children after surgical treatment of intestinal obstruction. A comparative analysis of clinical, laboratory, instrumental, and socioeconomic indicators was conducted in patients receiving standard therapy and in children undergoing the developed rehabilitation programs ("First Steps," "Active Morning," and "In the Rhythm of Growth"). Statistical processing of the data was performed using variation statistics; differences were considered significant at p < 0.05. The results showed that the implementation of age-adapted programs accelerates the recovery of intestinal motility, ensures earlier independent bowel movements, more quickly relieves pain, and normalizes appetite. Children in the study group showed a more rapid reduction in inflammatory indicators, a lower incidence of postoperative complications, and repeated interventions. The average length of hospital stay was reduced by 25.8%, which was accompanied by a decrease in treatment costs and an improvement in the quality of life of patients (p < 0.05). The developed age-oriented rehabilitation programs are an effective complement to surgical treatment and can be recommended for widespread implementation in pediatric surgery and rehabilitation practices.
Key words: Children, intestinal obstruction, surgical treatment, rehabilitation, age-oriented programs, postoperative period, restoration of peristalsis, postoperative complications.
