HISTOMORPHOLOGICAL CHANGES IN THE LIVER IN CHILDREN WITH VIRAL HEPATITIS A COMBINED WITH PURULENT-SEPTIC LESION OF THE LUNG BY STAPHYLOCOCCAL INFECTION

Resume
A review of the literature shows that viral hepatitis A in children is accompanied by the development of inflammatory and degenerative changes in the liver tissue. The most characteristic morphological features are lymphocytic infiltration of the portal tracts, ballooning of hepatocytes, and focal necrotic changes. When HAV is combined with purulent-septic lung disease caused by staphylococcal infection, increased inflammation, neutrophilic infiltration, microabscess formation, and severe vascular disturbances are observed. Studying the histomorphological features of the liver in this comorbid condition is important for understanding the pathogenesis of the disease, improving diagnosis, and developing effective treatment methods. Despite a significant number of studies devoted to viral hepatitis and sepsis, the issue of morphological changes in the liver in their combination remains insufficiently studied. This is due to the limited number of clinical and morphological observations in children. Further research in this area may contribute to the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. Therefore, further clinical and morphological studies aimed at understanding the characteristics of liver damage in children with combined infectious processes are needed.
