Resume

Musculoskeletal system tuberculosis (bone-joint tuberculosis) remains a serious public health problem in the Central Asian region, particularly in Uzbekistan. The osteoarticular form of tuberculosis occurs in 10-15% of all extrapulmonary tuberculosis cases and accounts for 1-3% of the total number of tuberculosis patients. Despite the availability of effective anti-tuberculosis drugs, bone and joint tuberculosis remains the cause of significant disability among the population and requires long-term comprehensive treatment.
