Resume
COVID-19 during pregnancy, as a rule, are similar to those in non-pregnant women, although one systematic review found that fever, cough, shortness of breath and myalgia were less common in pregnant and recently pregnant women than in non-pregnant women of reproductive age. Innate immunity is the first line of defense of the host and plays a key role in suppressing the spread of pathogens. Unlike adaptive immunity, which works by creating specific receptors (for example, antibodies or TCR) against microbial antigens, innate immunity is based on the recognition of common molecular patterns existing in microbial structures.
