Resume
The purpose of the study: to study the risk factors of failure of induction of labor with prostaglandin E2 (dinoprostone) vaginal tablets. Research materials and methods: scientific research included 76 women with one pregnancy of 37-41 weeks. In women, labor was induced by 2 intravaginal tablets of prostaglandin E2 (Dinoprostone, 3mg). Examination methods: general clinical-laboratory, special obstetric examination, instrumental and statistical methods. Research results: 86.8% (66/76) of group 1 had vaginal delivery as a result of labor induction, and 13.2% (10/76) of group 2 had operative delivery (p<0.0001). There was no significant difference between neonatal outcomes. Conclusion: Induction of labor may be ineffective in cases of first birth, fetal weight more than 3500 g, immature cervix.
Key words: labor induction, Dinoprostone, prostaglandin E2, cervical ripening.
