INFLUENCE OF SEVERITY OF TYPE II DIABETES MELLITUS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF COGNITIVE DYSFUNCTIONS
Davronova H.Z. Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sina
Resume
Diabetes mellitus (DM) type 2 is one of the significant independent risk factors for the development of cognitive impairment (CI) and dementia. The presence of possible CIs or their development in a patient with diabetes must be taken into account when selecting complex therapy. Treatment of each patient with diabetes should be individual, taking into account clinical characteristics, possible complications and the presence of comorbid vascular diseases. When choosing medications that improve cognitive function, in addition to the direct effect, one should take into account their other positive effects, as well as their tolerability and the possibility of safe combination as part of complex therapy.
