Resume,

Application of virtual colonoscopy (VC) to diagnostics of malformation and inflammatory changes in the colon is discussed. The results are compared with those of optical colonoscopy and irrigography. Technical details of the method and preparation of children for VC examination are described. Semiotics of colonic pathology diagnosed by VC is discussed.
