DIAGNOSTIC CRITERIA FOR CARDIAC MARKERS IN CHILDREN WITH TYPE 1 DIABETES

Resume,

Objective. Establish criteria for early diagnosis of diabetic cardiomyopathy, to develop an algorithm for the Diagnosis, treatment and prevention of its progression.

Material and methods of research 46 children aged from 8 to 17 years with diabetes mellitus lasting from several months to 15 years were examined. The average age of children was 13.3 years. All children were divided into 2 groups depending on the duration of the disease. The 1st group consisted of 20 children with diabetes mellitus up to 5 years, the 2nd group – 26 children with a disease duration of more than 5 years.

The results of the study. Thus, the criteria we established for early diagnosis of diabetic cardiomyopathy in children and the role of an increase in the CF CU index and the highly sensitive CRP fraction are an early marker of heart damage and can be recommended for practical use of the diagnostic algorithm for children with type 1 diabetes.
