Resume,

The article presents a review of the literature on the main points of the strategy for complex treatment of breast cancer (BC). The modern approach to the treatment of breast cancer is characterized by the priority of the use in clinical practice of the methods of general antitumor effects – chemotherapy and endocrinotherapy. A new concept appeared in the surgical treatment of breast cancer – organ-preserving (conservative) methods of operations, and the question of the development of recurrence of breast cancer after organ-preserving treatment, their determination and prognostic factors of occurrence was acute. In this regard, in the complex treatment of breast cancer, a large role is assigned to radiation therapy, the use of which allows performing surgical intervention in more ablastic conditions, and at this stage, it is an essential component of the complex treatment of patients after organ-preserving operations. However, private sections of the strategy for complex treatment of breast cancer are still not completely resolved.
