Resume,
Congenital scoliosis, one of the cases that is difficult to treat, with which the orthopedic vertebrologist has to face. The reason for this is a lot of factors, including the child’s age at the time the disease is identified, the absence of a certain form of manifestation and anomalies associated with it, impede the implementation of the ideal treatment plan. All patients with congenital scoliosis should undergo a thorough examination. Spondylogram and MRI of the spinal column is usually performed first. It is necessary to conduct screening studies to exclude anomalies of VACTPL (visceral, anorectal, cardiac, tracheoesophageal fistula, renal and pulmonary). MSCT for complex deformities, which will help determine tactics and preoperative preparation for surgical intervention.
Keywords: Scoliosis, Congenital scoliosis, early-onset scoliosis, scoliosis classification, vertebral abnormalities, treatment methods.
