Resume,

This paper presents the results of a morphometric analysis of tubular bones in the offspring (42 rats) of 14 adult rats with experimental diabetes mellitus in 1, 14, 30, 45, 60 days of postnatal ontogenesis. In rats with rats with experimental diabetes mellitus, the length of primary spongy trabeculae decreases and the number of osteoblasts decreases. Significant changes are identified in the proliferative zones of metaepiphyseal cartilage with a decrease in the number of cells. As a result of slowing down the differentiation of cartilage to typical bone balck, the destructive zones of the metaepiphyseal cartilage of tubular bones are expanding.

Key words: experimental diabetes mellitus, tubular bones, morphometry.
