Resume,
The article presents the results of a comparative assessment of surgical correction methods for fistulous forms of anorectal malformations, namely recto-vestibular fistula in 40 newborn girls. Patients were divided into 2 groups, of which 20 underwent a one-stage posterior sagittal anorectoplasty (PSARP), and 20 had a three-stage operation including colostomy, PSARP and colostomy closure. In both groups, complications were recorded during and after surgery, a comparative assessment was performed. Only one case (5%) of wound infection and discrepancies was observed in the control group, while six cases (30%) were observed in a single-stage operation. Regarding the frequency of other complications, no significant differences were found between the two groups.
