Resume,

The defeat of the digestive system is one of the main elements in a number of pathological changes in HIV infection. Damage to the gastrointestinal tract is one of the central links in the pathogenesis of HIV infection and its manifestations such as developmental delay and deterioration of the immune status, which develops with the progression of the disease. Many intestinal infections characteristic of HIV-infected patients are rare or not detected at all in HIV-positive children. So, diseases  caused by Cytomegalovirus, Adenovirus, Rotavirus, Norovirus, Herpes simplex are causative agents of intestinal infections in children. Acute intestinal infection is one of the diseases that often require intensive care in children with HIV infection.

Keywords: HIV- infection, children, gastrointestinal tract.
