Resume,
The aim of the study was to study the core features of coronary artery lesions and coronary bypass grafting in elderly patients in comparison with patients of medium age. 177 patients with coronary artery disease were included in our study. Basing on the obtained results it was concluded that left main artery and more than triple vessel diseases were identified more frequent in elderly patients. Triple vessel disease was revealed in both groups with coronary artery disease and diabetes mellitus. Elderly patients less predisposed to coronary bypass grafting and complete revasculariation compared to the group of medium age.
Keywords: coronary heart disease, coronary bypass grafting, lesion, coronary artery.
