Resume,

To date, the problem of treatment of ulcerative colitis (ULC) is relevant. Since, in recent years, NNC has a tendency to steady growth in all countries, acquiring important medical and social significance.

Currently, conservative therapy is the basis for the treatment of UC, and surgical interventions are performed only in cases of its inefficiency or the development of complications in 10-20% of patients. However, morphological criteria that are reliable from the standpoint of evidence-based medicine are still not well developed. The unresolved nature of these issues makes UC relevant to its treatment.

We carried out a retrospective analysis of the results of 876 patients treated conservatively and 133 patients with surgical methods in the colopractology department of the ASMI clinic for the period from 2009 to 2019 in a hospital and the corresponding conclusions are given
