Resume

This article presents the results of a comparative pharmacoeconomic study of 2 representatives of ferrous and ferric iron preparations in the outpatient treatment of moderate iron deficiency anemia. The main clinical criteria for ferrotherapy were the level of increase in hemoglobin in the blood, the dynamics of manifestations of general anemic and sideropenic syndromes, and the severity of side effects from taking both drugs. The results of the study showed that the use offerric iron of a locally produced drug requires lower economic costs, however, its use is associated with more pronounced side effects when the drug is taken for 1 month. If we consider the clinical and laboratory efficacy in combination, then all drugs have demonstrated approximately equal positive dynamics in the relief of symptoms of anemia, with the exception of better tolerance. This clinical and analytical study does not have any financial or advertising sources. All research data are the responsibility of the article authors.

Key words: Iron deficiency anemia; iron preparations; pharmacoeconomic research.
