MYCOSIS IN THE STRUCTURE OF OPPORTUNISTIC DISEASES OF THE MIDDLE EAR IN HIV-INFECTED CHILDREN

The aim of this study is to examine the frequency and clinical features of candidal lesions of the middle ear in children with HIV-AIDS, depending on the stage of infection. The study included 38 patients (27 males (61.4%), 11 girls (38.6%). The diagnosis of “HVV infection» was placed on the result of ELISA and Western Blot. Candida lesions of the mucous membrane of the middle ear as follows: Candida miringit was detected in 38.9% of cases, Candida exudative otitis – 9.3% of cases in children from 4 clinical stages of disease. Then, as in children with clinical stage 3 lesion candida, ear passage was detected in 4.8% of cases. The data of our research confirm. The fact that candida lesions of the mucous membrane of the middle ear manifest with severe immunodeficiency, namely the more frequently encountered in clinical stage 4 HIV infection.
