COMPLEX TREATMENT OF CHRONIC GENERALIZED PERIODONTITIS USING MODERN ANTIBACTERIAL DRUGS

Resume

The article provides an overview of domestic and foreign literature on modern approaches to the complex treatment of inflammatory periodontal diseases. The main directions of work of researchers in the field ofperiodontology are reflected, the results of the studies carried out by the authors are analyzed, recommendations for practical health care are given.

Various algorithms for the treatment of periodontal diseases using new drugs and physiotherapy methods are presented. The importance of an integrated  approach to solving this problem, aimed at the correct combination of local and general treatment, as well as a rational solution to the issue of supportive therapy, has been demonstrated.

The analysis of the literature indicates the dissatisfaction of dentists with the existing methods of treating periodontitis, an extensive search for new, more effective methods of treating this pathology, allowing to obtain the most effective, pathogenetically substantiated therapeutic effect on periodontal tissues.
