Norovirus infection is one of the causes of diarrhea in cancer patients, in whom the infection can have a long course, contributing to a decrease in the quality of life: interruption or change in specific therapy, development of dehydration, loss of body weight, which can lead to a deterioration in the patient’s condition, often leading to death.
