Resume

The article provides specific and brief data on the modern understanding of the etiology, epidemiology, main clinical indicators, pathophysiology of vitamin B12 deficiency, diagnosis, including drug treatment. The tactics of using oral vitamin B12 preparations to stabilize reduced cobalamin levels in asymptomatic patients and as maintenance therapy in patients with clinical manifestations of vitamin B12 deficiency are considered.
