ANTHROPOMETRIC FEATURES OF PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT OF PRESCHOOL AGE CHILDREN
Shermanov A.O. - Alfraganus University, Uzbekistan
Resume
Anthropometric parameters of the extremities were measured io 864 children of both genders aged 2 to 7 еars. The investigations were carried out according to the methods of Alekseev V.P. (1966), Sparansky V.S., Zaychenko A.1. (1980, 1988, 2011), Avtandilov G.G. (1990) Shamirzaev N.Kh. (1998). The results were statistically evaluated. A reliable correlation was revealed between the length of the upper and lower extremities, and their proportions. A more intense growth was observed between 2- and 4-year-old children. In preschool age - 5 to 7 еars the rate of growth was slowed down. The growth was more dynamic in the lower extremities. Unevenness of the growth of the upper and lower extremities was characteristic of 2-to-7-year-old children.
Key words: physical development, body length, body weight, head circumference, chest circumference, arm length, shoulder length, shoulder fat, palm length.
