Resume

The evolution of the HIV epidemic in many countries has led to a significant increase in the detection of HIV/TB coinfection cases. Objective of the Study: To analyze the dynamics of key indicators characterizing the epidemiological situation of HIV/TB coinfection in the Republic of Karakalpakstan from 2008 to 2022. Materials and Methods: Data from the Republican AIDS Center of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan, as well as the Republican Center of Phthisiatry and Pulmonology named after S. Sultanov of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, were used for the analysis of HIV/TB coinfection morbidity during the period from 2008 to 2022. Statistical analysis of morbidity dynamics was conducted using the StatTech v. 4.1.7 software. Intensive and extensive indicators were calculated, and statistically significant differences were considered at p≤0.05. Results and Discussion: In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, there has been an increase in the registration of HIV/TB coinfection cases with an average annual growth rate of 7.36%. The epidemiological situation regarding HIV infection in the Republic of Karakalpakstan remains tense, with an increasing number of cases of HIV/TB coinfection.
