PERCENTAGE DISTRIBUTION OF PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN FROM 3 TO 7 YEARS OLD BY BODY LENGTH

Resume

This study examines the physical development of children aged 3 to 7 years, focusing on the analysis of body length (BL). The primary aim was to identify age and gender differences in development and classify children into three categories based on their BL: low, normal, and high. Various statistical methods were employed to analyze the data, including calculating percentile values, mean values and standard deviations, comparative analysis, Pearson correlation coefficients, regression analysis, and analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results revealed that the most significant changes in body length occur at the age of 4 years. On average, boys are more likely to have a body length deficit, while girls more frequently exhibit high body length values. A significant positive correlation between age and body length was found, confirming the progressive nature of children's growth. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of regular monitoring of children's physical development and the use of percentile values for assessment. The findings can be valuable for medical and educational institutions in developing programs aimed at improving the physical development of preschool-aged children.
